Just wanted to share that we used this concept for a cool Sunday school activity for Valentines day. We have a very small Sunday school(about 12 kids), with a wide age range (4-12). We spent our class time putting the packs together and discussing the Lenten concept of giving up things and/or giving to others - then after the service, we spent the coffee hour zipping around handing out the packs to all the adults! These kids were too little to hit the shopping area and this was a safe way for them to dip their toes into reaching out - they had to give the packs to people they weren't related to! It was great to see the smiles on the older faces as they received a pack from a solemn 5 yr old. I got into conversation with a visitor to the church who was thrilled by the gift, and felt welcomed and special, and then he got into a conversation with the parent of the kid who'd given him the pack - how cool is that! Friendship and being welcoming are two areas our church has identified as needing some effort, so I think these kids made a great start...by the way, we had our own stash of kisses set aside, so none of the "workers" were hard done by!
